Continuing SSU Student Application Process
Applications for Continuing SSU Students
Let’s put the myth to rest—you CAN live on campus for multiple years! Our Tuscany Village townhomes and the Beaujolais Village and Sauvignon Village apartments are popular, but that doesn’t mean we will not be able to house you! Below is a brief description of how the application process works for ALL continuing Seawolves (currently living on campus or living off campus wanting to move on).
Academic Year Application Process Steps
- Explore housing options and costs (costs have not been finalized for 2026/2027)
- Continuing SSU students will have the option to live in Beaujolais Village and Tuscany Village. Limited options will be available in Sauvignon Village.
- Eligibility criteria: must be enrolled in at least 4 units. Must have a $0 housing rent/food balance from previous semesters
- Know the important dates and deadlines.
Application Period: February 2–26, 2026
Log into the Housing Portal using your SSU username and password and select “2026/2027 Academic Year Housing.”
While the application process is not first-come, first-served, applications on February 2 must be submitted during designated times to prevent system overload. Please apply during your assigned time:
Verdot residents: 10:00 a.m.
Sauvignon residents: 11:00 a.m.
Beaujolais residents: 12:00 p.m.
Tuscany residents: 1:00 p.m.
SSU students living off campus: 3:00 p.m.
Required Steps
Submit the $100 Housing Down Payment.
Complete your profile and agree to the Student Housing License Agreement.
You will receive a confirmation once completed.
Must have a confirmation of the Student Housing License Agreement in order to get a lottery #.
Select your preferred Living Community (optional).
Review Housing Options and On-Campus Rates, as some Living Communities are limited to specific room types.
- Early March, receive a lottery number for assignment (priority given to those currently living on campus).
Are you applying after the deadline? If capacity has not been reached, students who apply after the deadline will be assigned a lottery number in the order their application is received. If capacity has been reached, applicants will be placed on a waitlist based on the application date.
Important Information
- Room selection/assignment is determined by the lottery or wait list number and space availability at the time of self assignment.
- Housing applications are accepted until capacity is reached. In the event that capacity is reached, we will continue to accept applications and payments. Students will be placed on a wait list. In the event that we are unable to house you one week after the semester begins, we will refund the payment in full.
Lottery numbers are issued in early March, along with instructions for room selection. The lottery number represents the date and time a student can participate in the room selection process. Students who apply after the priority deadline will receive assignment times based on when the application was submitted.
Create a personalized Roommate CODE for yourself if you plan to live with others.
All students wishing to live together must create a Roommate CODE before room selection begins. See additional information in bottom section
Room Selection: Early April
General room selection is available only to students who have received a lottery number. Your lottery number determines the date and time you may select a room. During your selection time, you will choose a specific apartment and bedroom “letter” for the full academic year.
Room Retention — April 1
This option is only for current spring residents who wish to remain in the same room for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Students who want to live with a group are strongly discouraged from participating in Room Retention, as doing so forfeits group selection eligibility.
General Room Selection
Day 1: Complete groups that can fully occupy an apartment
Beaujolais: 4 residents
- Sauvignon: 6–7 residents
Tuscany: 6 residents
Days 2 & 3: Individuals and non-complete groups
Choose from available apartments or bed spaces
Room types and locations are not guaranteed and depend on available inventory.
- Students are strongly encouraged to select a room during their assigned lottery time, even if their preferred room type or location is not available. Students can participate in a room change process that will open in the following weeks.
- Cancellations - If your plans change and you no longer intend to live on campus, please complete the Housing Cancellation Survey, found on your Housing Portal. The Housing Down Payment is non-refundable. Students who complete the application process and receive a room assignment will be charged $250 if they cancel after August 1 for academic year contracts and January 1 for spring semester only contracts, or fail to check in seven (7) days after the semester begins.
Our housing system requires you to select your roommate BEFORE you choose your room. If you want to make sure you have the roommate you want, you will need to create a personalized access code in order to room with friends. In the Housing Portal, click on "2026/2027 Academic Year Housing," then "Roommate/Group Access Code" to create your personalized code. Give this to the person/group with whom you want to live. This is only available to those who have been offered a space. Students not offered a space for the General Room Selection will not be able to participate in this process. When you select your room, the first roommate in the process will pull the other roommate into the selected room using the PIN code.
Please read through our Reapply Process FAQs for all your questions about down payments, room selection, and offers.
Log into the Housing Portal (you will need your SSU username and password) and click on "Apply Spring 2027."

You can return to this section up until November 30 to update your preference without it affecting your priority.
Request a specific roommate *please contact the REACH Office for Spring only application instructions.
Requests must be mutual (same living area and ranked room type). Roommates must request each other. Mismatched requests will not be processed.
Roommate requests are viewed as a priority over room-type requests. This means we will do our best to assign you with your requested roommate first, regardless of the room type preference.
Room Assignments will be emailed to the student's SSU email address in early December for Spring Only students. *Students must have paid the Housing Down Payment in full in order to receive a room assignment.
*Need to cancel? Please note that the housing down payment is non-refundable. Students who complete the application process and receive a room assignment from REACH will be charged a $250 fee for not providing thirty (30) day notice, if they cancel after January 1 for Spring, or fail to check in seven (7) days after the start of the semester.
