How To Use Your Electronic Lock

Upon checking in, you will be given access to your residence through your SSU ID card or a temporary access card.  This will unlock your front and bedroom door. Temporary access cards will expire so by August 31, you will need to get your ID card activated with this information. 

You will need the Door PIN code (available on the Housing Portal) to access the front door of your apartment as well. Your PIN code is a random number generated by our key system and cannot be changed. Store your PIN code in a safe place and do not share with others. PIN codes cannot be given out over the phone.

Exterior Doors

1. Swipe card through card reader so that the photo is facing left.
2. Enter PIN code followed by the “#” key
3. Light will turn green and door will unlock.

Interior Doors

1. Swipe card through card reader so that the photo is facing left
2. Light will turn green and door will unlock.
