Late Arrival Move-in Information

Saturday, August 17

Incoming First Year or Transfer Students

  • Arriving 1pm to 6pm - please visit the Residential Education and Campus Housing office in the Student Center, 3rd Floor Division of Student Affairs Office
  • Arriving after 6pm - please visit a Residential Card Kiosk to receive a temporary card. 
    • Three Residential Card Kiosk machines are conveniently located throughout the Residential Community:
      • Zinfandel Service Desk Lobby
      • Cellars located in Sauvignon Village
      • Beaujolais Meeting Room, east wall facing swimming pool.
    • You will need your Seawolf username and password to be issued a temporary card.
    • This temporary card will give you access to your unit until you can check in with the Residential Education and Campus Housing office in the Student Center, 3rd floor on Sunday from 9am - 3pm
    • If you never took a picture for your Student ID, you will need to go to the Seawolf Service Center located in Salazar Hall to get your ID

Sophomore and Above Students Returning to Campus

  • While check-in for you is technically on Sunday, August 18, if you arrive between 1pm and 6pm - please visit the Residential Education and Campus Housing office in the Student Center, 3rd Floor Division of Student Affairs Office. 
    • If it is more helpful, our staff will be able to check you in through the Cellars or Beaujolais Meeting Room from 1-3pm.
  • If you arrive after 6pm on Saturday  - please visit a Residential Card Kiosk to receive a temporary card. 
    • Three Residential Card Kiosk machines are conveniently located throughout the Residential Community:

Sunday, August 18

Incoming First Year or Transfer Students

Please visit the Residential Education and Campus Housing (REACH) office from 9am - 6pm.  The office is located in the Student Center, 3rd Floor Division of Student Affairs Office

  • You will get your Student ID and important information about Move-in Weekend
  • If you didn't take a picture for your Student ID at the Seawolf Service Center during Orientation, we will issue you a temporary access card to get into your unit.  You will need to visit the Seawolf Service Center in the next few days to get your Sonoma State ID, which will then be encoded with your housing assignment.  
  • You will now be able to move into your unit.  Unloading zones are available close to your unit, please unload quickly so other students can also move in.
  • We highly recommend bringing a handtruck/dolly to assist with moving.

Parking

When you arrive on campus, park in the unloading zone located closest to your building.  Any vehicle parked on campus on or after Monday, August 19 will need to have a permit.  Please do not park in any Accessible Parking spaces without the appropriate permit/placard or in any fire lane (as shown by red curbing), regardless of how quickly you may be stopping to unload.
