Update: July 6, 2020
We are happy to announce that students who completed the Housing Intent Survey by June 30, noting they need to live on campus for Fall 2020, have been approved! Space is still available for those who are undecided and interested in living on campus for Fall 2020. Complete the Housing Intent Survey or apply for on campus housing today by going to the ResidentWeb. We appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate through this unprecedented time.
Opening housing amidst a global pandemic is full of both challenges and opportunities. This is a time to not only build virtual connections, but also an exciting time to uncover new ideas, build friends, and discover new ways to relate to one another.
As we continue to progress through our new "reality," we wanted to share with you our regulations and guidelines to balance community and safety for our residents. Our residential community success is dependent on each of us caring for and looking out for one another. Please view our Fall 2020 FAQs.
Because this is a very fluid time in our history, these plans are based on the most up-to-date information we have and may change due to circumstances beyond our control.
Update: June 4, 2020
On Wednesday, June 3, 2020, President Sakaki announced that Sonoma State University fall classes and services will be primarily virtual for the semester with some limited exceptions. Campus housing will be open and available, however, our overall capacity will be reduced to ensure maximum safety for our residents.
We expect that you will have lots of questions about on-campus housing for Fall 2020 so we've put together a list of frequently asked questions for your reference. There are some questions that we are currently not able to answer as we are still in the process of receiving approval for our revised housing plan. We will update the responses to questions as we are able.
Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you back to our community!
